Gate Age Verification ("we", "our", "the app") is a Shopify application developed by Acme Digital Agency. This policy explains what data the app collects and how it is used.
Store settings: When a merchant installs the app, we store the shop domain and the popup configuration (text, colors, verification method). This data is necessary to display the age verification popup on the storefront.
Visitor cookie: When a visitor confirms their age, a cookie named age_verified is stored in their browser. This cookie contains no personal information — only the value 1 and an expiration date. No visitor data is sent to or stored on our servers.
Store settings are stored in a secure database hosted on Fly.io (Frankfurt, Germany). Only the merchant's shop domain and popup configuration are stored. No customer or visitor data is ever transmitted to or stored on our servers.
Store settings are retained as long as the app is installed. When a merchant uninstalls the app, all associated data is deleted. The visitor cookie expires after the number of days configured by the merchant (default: 30 days).
Since we do not collect, store, or process any personal data from store visitors, there is no personal data to access, rectify, or delete under GDPR. The cookie used is strictly functional and does not require consent under the ePrivacy Directive.
